The Master credential (or equivalent) in the respective technology (Ethernet fabric, IP, IP storage, mainframe connectivity, SAN, software networking) is highly recommended for this role in this context (ZO). If multiple technologies are deployed, the Brocade distinguished Master is highly recommended.

Brocade Distinguished Master is the highest credential recognizing breadth and depth of expertise in at least three different technology areas.

Brocade SAN Master is the culminating credential recognizing breadth and depth of expertise in the SAN technology area.

For customer replaceable parts, the documentation is available on Brocade.com or comes with the part itself. The Master Level being the highest achievable level. This Level is best suited to cover the requirements of Zero Outage environments

Certifications

Certifications are product or technology dependent.

In general it is recommend to have ASE if not MASE level when working with HPE products, ATP covers only the basic terms and technology understanding.

For Zero Outage environments the highest certification level, i.e. MASE, is highly recommended.

NetApp Introduction These individuals require a deep and broad technical knowledge of current information technologies & trends & at least 5-10 years IT knowledge in various ICT domains (storage, networking, operating systems, virtualization, applications etc.). The individual not only needs to have a detailed understanding of the technologies and capabilities of their own company’s products & portfolio, in this case NetApp, but also a thorough competence in ICT (all domains: software, hardware and networks). The role also requires specific design techniques and the ability to describe a system in terms of components and logical flows. These individuals require a good understanding of IT in general with a detailed understanding of the platform in question, in this case NetApp. Newcomers with basic IT knowledge would need training on the job for a minimum of 6 months. These individuals require a very good understanding of IT in general. Newcomers with basic IT knowledge would need training on the job for at least a year. An Associate qualification can be followed up with a Professional certification (for NetApp). These individuals require a high level of technical knowledge (specialization) in the area for which they are providing support. This person needs at least 5 - 10 years IT knowledge & experience in the specialized area i.e. storage, networking, operating systems, virtualization, applications etc., with broad knowledge of related technologies. Similar to architects, these individuals must not only have a detailed understanding of the technologies and capabilities of their own company’s products, in this case NetApp, but also a thorough competence in ICT (all domains: software, hardware and networks).This individual needs at least 2 years IT experience in different areas (storage, networking, operating systems, virtualization, applications etc.).

NetApp Storage NCDA (NetApp Certified Data Administrator)
NetApp Certified Data Administrators(NCDA) have proven skills in performing in-depth support, administrative functions, and performance management for NetApp® data storage controllers running the Data ONTAP® operating system in NFS and Windows® (CIFS) multiprotocol environments. They are able to implement high-availability controller configurations. They also have detailed knowledge of SnapMirror®, SnapRestore®, and SnapVault® technologies, which they use to manage and protect mission-critical data.
NCSIE (NetApp Certified Storage Installation Engineer)
NetApp Certified Storage Installation Engineers have proven skills in Data ONTAP® installation services, adhering to NetApp® quality standards, and using NetApp best practices.
NCSA (NetApp Certified Storage Administrator)
(this is an associate certification). NetApp Certified Storage Associates demonstrate a basic understanding of NetApp® data storage systems and Data ONTAP® administration and data management solutions. They understand the features and functions of Data ONTAP 7-Mode and clustered Data ONTAP operating systems, and they are able to perform basic administration of NetApp storage controllers running the Data ONTAP OS in NFS and Windows® (CIFS) multiprotocol environments.
NCDA (7-Mode and/or cDOT) NCDA (NetApp Certified Data Administrator)
